Trafficking and smuggling are often fueled by poverty, inequality, armed violence, crime. These factors create desperation which can lead to exploitation. In Central America the picture is alarming about 89% - 91% of detected victims are women and girls.

At Reintegra we walk alongside those that have been victimized by human trafficking, offering them the chance to reclaim their lives as autonomous, restored, and dignified people. We believe healing happens in relationship, not isolation, so we accompany each woman with trauma-informed care that honors her right to self-determination at every step. Our mission is to see every woman step fully into a life that is her own — free, whole, and hers to define.

What We Do.

Safety:

Reintegra partners with safe homes in Mexico and Guatemala, employing multiple opportunities for young women who have survived the ruthless reality of human trafficking —because a new life should be a safe life.

Whole Life Healing in Community:

At Reintegra we work to honor and promote whole life healing. Not just survival, but strength through deep friendship; meeting regularly to encourage one another, ask questions and support the real hope our women can bring to their home communities

Education:

Through educational grants we create possibilities for financial stability, collaborating with women as they pursue their dreams through college degrees and technical certifications. We offer a holistic care model, tailored to individual needs such as job readiness, preparing for interviews and tackling the application process.

Advocacy:

‍ ‍Reintegra also seeks out advocacy opportunities, enabling survivors to address legislative bodies, engage with businesses, speak to faith communities, visit university campuses and amplify their voices for justice.

Trauma Informed Care:

At Reintegra women who have survived victimization and stigma are offered new opportunities for healing through trauma-informed care, therapy, art, movement, yoga, self defense, and growing community relationships

Capacity Training

Reintegra partners with neighboring projects to provide long-term capacity training to workers. In the intense work of reintegration we know just how important it is to provide for those who are doing the labor. Building sustainable practices, preventing burn out, teaching the invaluable skills of trauma-informed care, and making sure the carers are cared for
